NNA Issues Guidance
The New Nicotine Alliance (NNA), the UK’s only charity promoting evidence-based nicotine policy, has produced a guide to taking part in the government’s consultation on “Tobacco and vapes: packaging, appearance and display”. The charity is truly independent of commercial interests in relevant industries and is urging all vapers to make sure they take part and submit their opinions.
Britain Doesn’t Have a Vape Problem
Britain doesn’t have a vape problem; it has an enforcement problem and the government’s seven new restrictions won’t fix it, says Riot Labs. The vape juice manufacturer has checked how often councils check stores and believes the burden is disproportionately falling on law-abiding retailers.
ASH Demanding Public Health Response
Anti-smoking charity Action on Smoking and Health (ASH) is telling public health workers that they should contribute to the Government’s consultation on proposals to restrict the packaging, appearance and display of vapes. It is doing so in response to the New Nicotine Alliance’s (NNA) Save Vaping campaign, and insinuating that it is being driven by the industry.
