Secondhand Vape Risk “Is Negligible”

Researchers at the Department of Behavioural Science and Health, University College London, and the SPECTRUM Consortium have investigated the secondhand nicotine absorption risk from e-cigarette vapour in children and compared it to the risk posed by tobacco smoke. Professor Peter Hajek says the resulting risk posed by vaping “is negligible” according to the research findings.

Retail stores are experiencing shortages of ZYN nicotine pouches, disrupting the fastest-growing nicotine product market segment. But despite rumors about the source of the supply issues, ZYN manufacturer Swedish Match North America says it’s simply a matter of demand for the popular nicotine pouches growing too rapidly.

“We’ve heard the chatter and want you to know there have been no manufacturing disruptions to US ZYN operations,” the company said July 1 on the ZYN Facebook page.

Zyn users, rejoice: Production is about to ramp up in the U.S. Philip Morris International, or PMI, Zyn’s parent company, announced Tuesday it would invest $600 million to build a production facility in Aurora, Colorado, dedicated to manufacturing the popular nicotine pouches. Zyn has been subject to nationwide shortages as a result of its runaway success.
