VPZ Wants Vape Bill Action

VPZ, the UK’s largest specialist vape retailer dedicated to harm reduction and responsible vaping, has urged MPs returning from their Christmas recess holidays to prioritise the Tobacco and Vapes Bill as one of their first priorities of the New Year. As a start, it says it wants the politicians to confirm a date for its Report Stage as soon as possible.

Concern over Pouch Strengths

The Government, while acknowledging that pouches containing nicotine are safer than smoking, states in written response to Considerate Pouchers that it is still concerned about the strengths available. The letter confirming pouches as an effective tobacco harm reduction product also told the 20isPlenty campaigners that any legislative changes must not produce the unintended consequence of pushing adults back to smoking.

Pompey Stoptober Vape Success

The Portsmouth Wellbeing Service has celebrated that its vape offer has helped 300 people on their stop smoking journey during Stoptober. The free service, which also celebrated 10 years of helping residents lead healthier lives in October, offers free drop-ins, specialist advice and support as well as ecig starter kits through the swap to stop programme.

Best Airports for Vaping Revealed

As some lucky vapers escape the UK for some winter sun in January, a new study reveals the best airport smoking areas for vaping during seasonal travels. Google searches for “do airports have smoking areas after security” have increased by 100% – which are the only places vapers are allowed to use their devices. New research from Alternix, shared with Planet of the Vapes, reveals the best airport destinations.
