Another Shop Keeper Fined

Lancashire County Council’s Trading Standards has conducted a series of “stings” on a local store which has resulted in a Haslingden shop owner being fined more than £4,500.  Burnley Magistrates Court heard how staff sold a vape to an underage teenager and that illicit vapes were found hidden in a secret compartment in their shop.

ASH Bemoans Ad Awareness

Action on Smoking and Health says that data from its latest research “shows an alarming surge of awareness” of heated tobacco products among children in four years. The charity claims the proportion of children who report having ever used the products also increasing significantly.
