Vape Sales Doubled

Sales data obtained on the final day before the vape tax was implemented, from the UK’s largest online vaping retailer, Vape Club, shows that sales surged by over 100% on the Wednesday. The Vaping Products Duty tax came into force last Thursday, October 1st. The company told Planet of the Vapes that some of the most popular products sales increased by up to 125% compared to the average day’s trade.

ASH’s Consultation Claims

Anti-smoking charity Action on Smoking and Health managed to mobilise over 1700 health, education and public health professionals to push the government for anti-vape measures – or, as the charity put it, “to stand firm on tobacco and vape regulations”. Those involved co-signed a letter to the Health Secretary to “protect children” from “nicotine marketing”.
